About Me

Hi there!

My name is Sam Staples, born and raised in Toronto, ON and currently calling Vancouver, BC home. I am a multidisciplinary creative and technician with a near decade of experience in both the audio and video sphere's specializing in Sound Design, Mixing and Game Audio Implementation.

I began my career is media in 2015 where I attended Humber College and their Broadcast Television and Videography program. I graduated with honors, as well as being awarded the Audio Production Excellence Award for my class. Soon after that, I hit the industry as a freelancer, working across the industry as both a generalist technical assistant, an audio engineer, and also producing some radio programming. Working primarily under the Rogers Sports and Media banner, I provided both technical and creative services to the top level of Sports, Lifestyle, and Entertainment focused content.

Last year, I decided to make the leap to Vancouver to pursue studies at Vancouver Film School and their Sound Design for Visual Media Program. Here my skills in audio editing, mixing, game audio implementation and sound design flourished. I am currently a freelance engineer/designer working primarily on projects in Vancouver.

I am excited and always on the pursuit of the next exciting opportunity. Hoping to collaborate, learn, and succeed but most of all just make some noise!
